2017 – Provincial Ball

PGL Ball 01 300x200It is fair to say that the Summer Ball was another huge success and although the object of the exercise is to provide the brethren and their wives with a nice event to end the session and to bring everyone together, the Ball raised around £2,500 for the Provincial Grand Master’s Charity Fund.

As a result of the monies raised at the Ball and throughout the year through the Renfrewshire West 200 Club Draw, it was possible on the evening of the ball for Brother James P. Livingstone PGM to present a cheque for £10,000 on behalf of the Freemasons of Renfrewshire West to REACH for Autism Inverclyde, which was very graciously received by Mrs Margaret McGowan and Miss Kira McCarthy on behalf of REACH for Autism.

REACH for Autism, Inverclyde had already received the Province’s Citizen of the Year Award for 2016 having been nominated by Lodge Cumberland Kilwinning No. 217

On right, are the representatives of REACH for Autism along with Brother Gordon Leith RWM and Brother Gerry Robertson PM of Lodge Cumberland Kilwinning No. 217.PGL Ball 02 300x200

It can also be confirmed that the Town Hall (and the ever popular Capitol Big Band) have been provisionally booked for next year so put a note in your diaries for Saturday 16th May 2018.

This is a little earlier than previous years as we are aware that this year, the date clashed with the long holiday weekend.
